13 March 2010: Paarl Wine Route
The Paarl Wine Route provides visitors with a unique opportunity to taste the first of the 2010 vintage - unfiltered and straight from the tank in the middle of harvest time.
This will happen at thirteen wineries along the Paarl Wine Route. All of these wineries are situated around the Paarl Mountain.

You can tailor make your day according to your liking and meandor along the route in your own time.
Activities
Children can enjoy pony rides, slip-n-slides, tractor and trailer rides while cooking demonstrations, art exhibitions and glass blowing entertain moms.
Traditional harvest activities, such as cellar tours, fermentation demonstrations and grape tastings of cultivars will keep dads occupied.
The young at heart can zip around the Paarl Rock in a Cessna or Helicopter; or chill to the tunes of Zinkplaat, Pieter Smith and other live bands.
Tickets
Tickets can be purchased at your first port of call on the day.
Cost
All visitors (18 years and older) need to purchase their access pass at their first port of call at R50.00 per person.
Visitors will receive a stylish Tasting Glass, access pass and programme. Tasting of the 2010 young wine is for free.
Wineries may charge for tasting of bottled wine at their own descretion
