Founded in 1967, The Bergkelder "cellar in the mountain" was the first of its kind in South Africa.
Wine
The Fleur du Cap Standard range is made up of the following wines - Fleur du Cap Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Noble Late Harvest, Natural Light, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Pinotage.
The Fleur du Cap Unfiltered range offers a selection of four noble cultivars - Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
This natural method of production may result in the development of some sediment in the bottle, in which case decanting would be advised before consumption.
Wine Tasting hours
Monday to Friday: 08h00 - 17:00
Saturday: 09:00 - 14h00
Closed on Sundays and religious public holidays.
Wine Tours
Tours are professionally conducted and are informative and interesting and last about 1 hour.
The tours are only offered to small groups (max 25 people) so that quality is maintained.
The tour includes a tasting, by candle-light, in the most beautiful cellar. The cost of the informative tour is a nominal R30.00 per person and is free for children under 18.

The Fine Wine Shop
The Fine Wine Shop have an interesting selection of quality wines including older wines, magnums, double magnums Jeroboams and a number of gift pack options.
They also have wine related souvenirs available.
