Warwick Estate

Warwick Estate is a family-owned and run boutique winery.
Warwick was purchased in 1964 by Stan Ratcliffe and his new bride Norma.

They soon began planting Cabernet Sauvignon. Norma became more and more interested in the making of wine and began to study the subject.

Soon a cellar was in place and in 1984 the first "legal" Warwick vintage was released (a Cabernet Sauvignon).

Norma had the talent for making great wines and production soon increased.
In 1986 Warwick Trilogy was released, a Bordeaux style blend which has since became one of the flagships of the South African Wine Industry.

Wine

Warwick prides itself in offering personal one on one interaction with their wine advisors, where you can sample Professor Black, The Black Lady, the notorious Three Cape Ladies and the iconic Trilogy, a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.

The more romantically inclined can sample out of the Wedding Cup whilst being told the fairytale of the King’s daughter and her silversmith lover.

Gourmet Picnics

At Warwick the Gourmet Picnic menu was designed to provide a balance between the freshest seasoned ingredients and a flavour that will satisfy the most sophisticated guest.

The Big 5 Safari

This is an opportunity to take a vineyard tour in dedicated Land Rover Safari vehicles.
The guide will introduce you to the "Big 5" grape varieties and educate you about them as you drive through the vineyard.

This is only available to groups of five or more.

CAUTION
This is a genuine 4x4 experience and is not for the faint hearted.

Kids Area

The dedicated picnic area offer huge open spaces and jungle gyms in a safe environment.
The entire area is completely fenced off and there is only one entrance and exit which is monitored.

Wine Club

The wine club was established to reward loyal friends and family and build on the relationships that have been cultivated over the past few decades.

Membership benefits include free shipping, discounts on wine sales, complimentary wine tastings and member-only events.
